Petitioner's Opinions To Support For A Call For Fibroid Research & Education Act.
Signature No. Petitioner Locality Opinions
423.  B Sheffield My girlfriend and I have suffered much trauma due to her fibroid and its removal. More funding, awareness and research is certainly needed.
422.  J.R Sheffield

420.  A.S Sheffield
419.  P London
418.  H.S Sheffield This is such an important issue- there is very little knowledge about the causes of fibroids and because these are not cancerous growths, I believe they are not always given the priority for research. The impact on womens lives of fibroids is huge- and they can affect young women as well as old.
417.  P.B Sheffield
416.  N.E When I use my search engine to look for blogs to read yours has come up several times on different categories. That just made me want to read it more, I can see why. It is excellent. Keep up the awesome work and I will continue reading. Jose -
415.  G.D London
414.  J Epsom
413.  A High Wycombe I am at the mercy of my own biology and feel really quite desolate sometimes. Treatment has not come far enough, because research is underfunded and this is treated as an unmentionable taboo
412.  F.A London Jbg
411.  S.G Eastleigh More research and support - more access to specialists - less being automatically labelled wilth IBS
410.  D.F London There definitely needs to be more research undertaken regarding fibroids and alternative methods and medication. Like a lot of women, I too had a male surgeon who was only interested in removing my hysterectomy and that was after my first visit to his surgery! Because of that I vowed that I would keep my uterus as long as I possibly can despite the heavy bleeding and longer periods. Yes we must petition for more research to be carried out as to why fibroids exist and how they could be eradicated at an earlier stage.
409.  A.S London
408.  N Algeria Need recherches about this problem
407.  J.B Sheffield I have recently been through a lot of trauma due to having a large uterine fibroid. In brief: loss of baby, nearly dying myself due to blood loss, 12 blood transfusions, a big operation and four months bed rest and the possibility of not being able to have children. If more research is required to prevent other women and their partners, families and friends from experiencing such trauma then please do provide funding into this area.
406.  F.T MILLPORT ISLE OF CUMBRAE I had a Mirena coil fitted nearly two years ago it looks like it has failed. If i had been told about the side effect i most likely would not have had it fitted.
405.  M.G Beckenham, Kent
404.  J.C London
