||I am 47 and just had a uae. the consultant was great but it took years to get a diagnosis. my gp always said it was my age! suffered heavy periods and anemia for years, as a result my fibroid was 9 inches. women should be taken seriously about this, not dismissed.|

||I have fibroids and feel almost abandoned by the medical profession. It\'s treated so insignificantly, almost as a non-problem but there are so many physical/mental problems that go along with it.
